Part 2: Syntax, our website-builder content management software
Once you have chosen your website design from our selections, we will set the design up for you as a working website on your web hosting (please see below for recommendations and terms). The second part of the package is to install our web-builder software, Syntax. Syntax has been purpose-developed in-house to integrate seemlessly with our range of website designs. Using Syntax and one of our web designs, you will be able to build and maintain your website online. You will be able to add as many pages as you wish to your website, including as much text and as many images on each page as require. You will be able to give each page a page title and meta descriptions and keywords to assist your websites performance in the search engine ramkings. You will be able to upload downloadable files (PDFs etc...) to your pages. Our web hosting partners & your website domain
Your website domain is your property, not ours. You have complete control over it. You will need hosting that supports ASP (a Windows server) to run a Synagy website. We will also need to be able to set up certain folder permissions on a number of directories within Syntax's arhitecture, so please be sure to purchase a hosting solution that meets these requirements. We are happy to advise you if you are not sure what hosting to purchase. If you do not have a website domain and suitable hosting already in place then we recommend using a UK based company called Streamline. They offer the correct type of hosting at excellent prices. Click here to visit their website. Their 'Home User Package' is sufficient to run a Synagy web package. If you have hosting that is not suitable for Syntax to run, we recommend transferring your domain registration to another provider. Streamline offer these services at competitive prices.
